Outdoor Instructor

Navasota, TX 

The Discovery Program at Camp Allen is seeking energetic, enthusiastic outdoor educators for our residential environmental and adventure education program.  This program serves public and private school students from lower elementary through high school,with an emphasis on 4th-6th graders.  Classes are offered in science and nature, adventure and survival skills.  The qualified applicant will possess a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, have an affinity and experience working with youth, and enjoy being outdoor in all kinds of weather.  Position is available for the school year of 2021-2022, beginning date August 16, 2021.  Contract ends May 31 2022.  This position offers a salary of $300 weekly, full room and board, and health insurance after 30 days of employment; plus opportunities for extra pay on weekends for facilitation of activities and animal care.  All required certifications and trainings are offered and costs covered by the program and include: Flatwater canoe instruction and rescue, NASP or USA archery, CPR/FA, Level I challenge course facilitation, and any and all associated curriculum trainings.  Email resume to  Candy Moore , Director at candym@campallen.org.
