Environmental license and permit applications, filing, and support for regulatory approvals associated with energy projects
Work in multi-disciplined team of engineers, scientists, planners and other technical professionals in assembling regulatory compliant environmental plans and studies
Prepare EAF, Expanded EA, EIS, and similar environmental review documentation
Coordinate with client and assist with administration of New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) processes
Direct client contact for client maintenance and new project development
Involvement in proposal preparation and business development with key clients
Interface with environmental regulatory agencies and local government officials, as necessary
Attend and participate in public meetings and hearings, as necessary
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, urban planning, or related field required. Master’s degree highly desirable
3-5 years of relevant post-degree work experience preparing environmental planning documentation and environmental permit applications
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Familiarity and experience with preparing environmental documents and regulatory submissions associated with electric substation, distribution, and transmission projects
Familiarity and experience with the environmental review process and the preparation of documents pursuant to the SEQRA
Sharp attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and the expertise to prepare and review a variety of technical reports and repackage them for inclusion in environmental reviews and related public documents
Technical expertise in one or more of the following impact areas highly desirable: wetlands and waterbodies, endangered species, cultural resources, noise, visual resources
Knowledge and experience of the regulatory requirements associated with Article VII of New York Public Service Law highly desirable
E/AICP or other professional licenses or certifications highly desirable
